In CSS, the padding
property is used to create space inside an element, between the element's content and its border.
You can set the padding
property on all four sides of an element using the following syntax:
cssCopy code
element {
padding: value;
}
Or you can set the padding on each side individually using the following syntax:
cssCopy code
element {
padding-top: value;
padding-right: value;
padding-bottom: value;
padding-left: value;
}
The value
can be any valid CSS length unit, such as px
, em
, rem
, %
, etc.
Here's an example of how to set the top and bottom paddings to 20px
and the left and right paddings to 10px
:
cssCopy code
element {
padding-top: 20px;
padding-right: 10px;
padding-bottom: 20px;
padding-left: 10px;
}
